Hailey is from the quaint, historic town of Plymouth, Massachusetts. She graduated from Stonehill College in 2013 where she pursued a self-designed major that focused on the interconnected elements of international development. In the fall of 2012 Hailey studied health, community development and Swahili in Nairobi, Kenya, an experience that deepened her understanding of East African culture as well as expanded her passion for development and capacity building. Despite the limited business knowledge she had before joining 2Seeds, her work with the Tabora Project exposed her to the important role that business plays in increasing opportunities for income security. Some of Hailey’s interests include traveling, hiking, mindfulness, yoga, rock climbing, codeword puzzles, speaking Swahili, dancing, and playing with the kids of Tabora.

Jen worked as a 2Seeds Project Coordinator for two years, guiding the Bombo Majimoto and Lutindi Projects for one year each. With 2Seeds, she has gained experience managing agricultural development projects and micro-finance systems. She led efforts to develop the human capital of 2Seeds Partners, building strong organizational systems in both Bombo Majimoto and Lutindi and training local leaders in the management, business, and mathematical skills needed to grow the projects in a self-sustaining manner.
Jen grew up in suburban New Jersey and graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering in 2013. Her studies of water and waste management, among other topics, have been particularly useful during her work in the world of international development. Jen has previously worked for environmental engineering consultancies, and devoted much of her college time to environmental and social justice as a founding member of the Cornell chapter of Engineers Without Borders. She is particularly fond of iced coffee, neon sunglasses, and netball.
